Brenton Wejrowski, MC, LPC
As the founder of Tempe Trails Counseling, my mission is to provide quality in person mental health counseling services to adults and couples in the Phoenix Metro area, and online across Arizona. My work focuses on the relational aspects of mental health, understanding that relationships play a foundational role in how we see ourselves and move through the world. My focus is helping adults and couples navigate challenges related to attachment, relationships, and emotion regulation.
[I founded Tempe Trails after moving to exclusively online therapy and a strong desire to open a practice near me and centrally located in Tempe, with the understanding that especially with couples, dynamics can best be seen and addressed in person. REMOVE?]
My training began at Arizona State University, in the school of Counseling Psychology, with direct client training and supervision at the Counseling Training Center providing accessible counseling to Tempe Residents and the broader community. I also volunteered with the PLENA lab doing research and advocacy on awareness of [colonization and the puerto rican / Latinx community]. I value diversity and understand that our environment and history can play a critical role in our mental health.
My early career included working with La Frontera EMPACT, Arizona’s primary crisis response agency, to work with the the trauma healing services team for victims of crime [links?], [where I learned the importance of ]. I then [began working with local agencies primarily working with Spanish speakers and couples. ]
Being born and raised in Arizona, I’ve seen the impact my environment has had on me. My early adult life, graduating at the peak of the Great Recession, was filled with social and career burnout, and disordered eating. My primary care doctor initially referred me to seek counseling, which brought me to my own journey forward, which eventually led me to pursue education in counseling psychology.
[something about religion?..]
While my own journey has certainly informed my practice, I hope to treat each person with resect and care, and to take the time to understand your own unique experience and goals.
When not at my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, son, and friends, finding good local eats and coffee, making and listening to music. …

How my journey began
Born and raised in Arizona, I forged my own trail to a fulfilling career in psychotherapy after a successful stint as a software engineer. Motivated by a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful impact in people's lives, I pursued and completed the Master of Counseling program at ASU.
My journey led me to begin working with Spanish-speaking adults and children who have endured the trauma of domestic violence. Grounded in an attachment and trauma informed approach, my therapeutic style is rooted in research-backed methodologies. I firmly believe that collaboration is the cornerstone of progress, and I am committed to walking alongside you as you navigate your path toward healing and growth.
